"glucosaminyl (N-acetyl) transferase 1, core 2 (beta-1,6-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase)", NACGT2; "beta-1,3-galactosyl-O-glycosyl-glycoprotein beta-1,6-N—acetylglucosaminyltransferase", C2GNT, "core 2 beta1,6 N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase-I", NAGCT2; core2 β1-6 N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase 1 (C2GnT1)

- The expression of core 2 β-1,6-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 1 (C2GnT1), synthesizing the core 2 branching structure on O-glycans, was reported to be associated with biological aggressiveness of tumor cells.

- MUC1 in human and murine mammary carcinoma cells decreases the expression of core 2 β1,6-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase and β-galactoside α2,3-sialyltransferase. doi : 10 1093/glycob/cws075 (22534569)

- Immunohistochemical expression of core2 β1-6 N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase 1 (C2GnT1) in endometrioid type of endometrial carcinoma is a novel potential prognostic factor. DOI: 10.1111/his.12107

  • C2GnT1 appears to be involved in the biological aggressiveness of endometrial carcinoma.
  • C2GnT1 might become a novel prognostic factor of endometrial carcinoma.
