Definition: Epithelial hyperplasia is benign proliferative breast lesion which arising as an unexpected new growth of epithelial cells.

Hyperplasia is also known as "epithelial hyperplasia" or "proliferative breast disease".

The hyperplasia can be " ductal hyperplasia " (also called "duct epithelial hyperplasia") or " lobular hyperplasia ".

The mammary epithelial hyperplasia may be called "usual" or "atypical" :

- ductal hyperplasia

- lobular hyperplasia


- ductal hyperplasia
- lobular hyperplasia
