esophageal candidal infection; Candida esophagitis ; Candida oesophagitis ; monilial esophagitis




- Parakeratosis with neutrophils may indicate that Candida is present.
- Candida can colonize ulcers of any aetiology.
- Invasive budding yeasts and pseudohyphae
- Opportunistic or in immunosupressed
- Don’t forget to look for more than one bug
-EGD: White pseudomembranes/plaques
