Benign tumor of eccrine origin

PO

Clinical

- Usually multiple small discrete white or yellow papules (1-4 mm diameter) located upper cheeks, below eyelids, genitalia, and thighs.
- known to occur in vulva
- Plaquelike, milialike, linear, and eruptive variants.

Synopsis

- microcystic adnexal tumors
- commas, paisleys, tadpoles
- cyst-like spaces are filled with amorphous material ( and not keratin )

Differential diagnosis

- trichoadenoma
- morphea form basal cell carcinoma
