Papillary adenoma of type II pneumocyte is an unusual benign lung neoplasm.


- cuboidal to columnar epithelial cells with a little nuclear atypia
- monotonous papillary pattern
- delicate stroma


- surfactant apoprotein in the cytoplasm

Electron microscopy

- osmiophilic lamellar bodies characteristic of type II pneumocytes
